Honoring over 15 years as a social worker/youth worker, Katie merges the traditional psychology/coaching practices with spiritual healing mediums to create an unique approach to those seeking an alternative to recovery, growth and healing on all levels.
Katie works in 1:1 and group settings.
Her work in these areas of mental health access points within the Durham Region and Toronto/GTA has earned her multiple award nominations to include the WOI nomination for Women of Inspiration back to back for 2020 and 2021.
Recently Katie's private practice was awarded a Diamond (First Place) Reader's Choice Awards for 2021.
Coming to the mat as a student over 15 year ago to heal her own physical and emotional trauma, Katie became 200 YTT certified in 2014.
Currently she can be found on the mat across Ontario both in the public and private capacity within the healing roots of yoga and mindfulness to all who seek.
Katie is a 5 time award nominated/ 4 time award winning Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor.
She is acknowledged for her dynamic yogic practice and impacts on the mental health conversations nationally and internationally.
Katie was awarded the Platinum win for Yoga Instructor 2020 by the Toronto Star Readers Choice.
Katie was awarded Platinum (first place) by Community Votes-Oshawa 2021 for
Yoga & Meditation. This was in acknowledgment of her commitment to First Responders during the pandemic through Trauma Informed Yoga collaborations.
Recently Katie was awarded a Gold (third place) win for Best Yoga Instructor by Clarington Readers Choice Awards 2021.
Since 2017, Katie has established her connection to understanding the healing capacity of trauma when merged with yoga, mindfulness and healing mediums
This has led to collaborations via yoga and mindfulness with the Military community of Trenton, First Responder Teams across Kingston, Durham, Kawartha Lakes and Collingwood (Ontario) and recently with Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences located just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Katie is a regular speaker for communities during Bell Let's Talk day, agencies serving those healing from trauma/recovery, school boards, hospitals and groups of communities overcoming conflict and adversity.
She is a regularly featured guest on podcasts on the topics of mental health, healing, spiritual and personal development.
Katie is Trauma Sensitive and Mindfulness trained out of Trenton, Ontario.
Katie has continued her education around Trauma Informed Practices joining the Yoga and Diversity training certification team with UK's Ourmala with a focus on refugees and asylum seekers.
Presently Katie can be found active in instruction on the Warrior Yoga bench leading in non profit and social impact projects.
